White gold: White gold has become very popular in recent years especially for wedding and engagement rings because some people prefer the lack of color contrast on a diamond ring. It has a modern, sleek appearance, and it is often rhodium-plated to make it whiter and shiny. The rhodium layer may wear away over time and require replating to maintain the white gold effect. When it is palladium-plated, white gold jewelry keeps its lighter shade but costs more than other tones of gold.

How do I know my finger size?

There are several standards when it comes to finger size, depending on geographic areas. You can consult our grid for the equivalences. Also, finger sizes vary depending on the different fingers of the hand. When you choose your ring, it is therefore important to know on which finger you want to wear it.

At MAZARIN, we can help you determine your finger size using tools available at our showroom if you come in person or if someone brings us one of your rings. Otherwise, it is just as easy to go to any local jeweler to determine it.

There are some tips on the internet such as wrapping a wire or cord around your finger and then measuring it on a ruler, but nothing will be as precise as suitable tools or expert advice.

How do I clean my ring?

Rings are the first pieces of jewelry to get dirty and lose their shine because they are exposed to the most friction and soak up our cosmetic products. Not all stones have the same sensitivity to various cleaning products and temperatures. Pearls and emeralds, for example, are much more fragile than a sapphire.

Is it possible to enlarge or shrink my ring?

Choosing the right finger size when purchasing without trying on the jewelry is not always easy because each ring is different. It also happens that your finger size changes over time and a ring that previously fit you becomes too big or tight. At MAZARIN we offer you the possibility of exchanging your ring, within the legal deadlines, if the size does not suit you. If it is a custom-made or modified ring (for example engraved), purchased from us, and which does not fit you, we offer our resizing service. Fees and conditions vary depending on each situation and we invite you to contact us to discuss them.
